Students of the GAMES ACADEMY have created a number of projects since 2000. We try to simulate the work processes typical within the industry, including (among other things):
- design documents (concepts)
- milestones (approvals)
- clearly defined work stages and
- use of professional technologies
This method guarantees amazing results. Thus, various publishers have expressed an interest in publishing student projects created at the GAMES ACADEMY. Some of our projects have even won prizes (ANIMAGO 2003/2005/2006) or been nominated for international awards (IMAGINA 2006, Monte Carlo).
Most recently, GAMES ACADEMY GmbH walked away with the jury‘s special prize at the Deutscher Entwicklerpreis 2007 (German developer‘s awards). At the same event, the student project ABM received the Gamesload Newcomer Award. The student project Heavy Metal Tanks was nominated for best video game at the Imagina 2007 in Monaco.
These communal projects, along with our students‘ other credentials, serve to increase their chances in the job market and effectively demonstrate the quality of the study courses offered at the GAMES ACADEMY.
