Training as a Game Artist (Game Art & Animation) for four semesters provides students with a ﬁrm knowledge of the traditional ﬁ ne arts (classic drawing, clay sculpting), as well as technical animation (3D modeling, texturing, animation), specially adapted to the latest requirements in the games industry. In the course of your education, you will work with students from other programs to create exciting and signiﬁcant projects using the most up-to-date technology.
The following is a sample of the occupations possible for graduates:
Game Artist: Essentially, Game Artists create graphics for a game. Working closely with Game Designers, they independently implement games projects, from creating design sketches to generating the ﬁnished models. Tasks include designing and implementing objects, landscapes, textures and graphics to be used in game interfaces.
Game Artist (Animation): Animation Game Artists work to recreate the natural movements of objects and characters as realistically as possible. This elaborate and exciting process is realized with the help of modern technology (i.e. motion capture).
Game Artist (Character): Appealing, perfectly designed characters are essential for many computer and video games. Character Game Artists develop and realize these characters.
